Have you ever dreamed of taking the checkered flag?

Have you imagined holding a huge gold (style) trophy in triumph?

Have you ever gorged yourself silly on hot dogs and root beer?

I thought so, and here's your chance to do it. On Saturday, March 20th Helix Minisports will be holding the second MINICup: a fun road rally and bar-b-cue, where you can meet and enjoy other MINI owners as they catch your vapors through the streets of greater Philadelphia.

The event starts at 10:00am, with registration and general benchracing bravado. At 11:00 sharp, the cars are off, following a two-hour trip through the region, concentrating on fun driving roads. There will be several stops, to prove that you actually followed the route, which ends at One Helix Plaza (our international headquarters) which happens to be right next to Yards Brewing Company, a fabulous microbrewery and bar-b-cue location. There we will have an awards ceremony, giving out real prize style items (it's amazing the trophies you can make with a welder and suspensions parts). Although THIS IS NOT A RACE, there will be a prize (style item) for the first to complete the MINICup 2004, as well as awards for best-of-show, spirit of the contest, traveled furthest to compete, etc.

The MINICup 2004 is free to everyone, and is even open to non-MINIs. The first MINICup was won by a BMW who will be back to defend, so somebody better beat this couple. It will require navigating from written instructions, so a co-pilot/navigator is recommended but by no means necessary.

Pre-registration is encouraged, which can be done by calling us. To do so, or if you have any further questions, plese drop is a line at 215 739 8800.

I want to be there BUT I'm in San Diego.

Sounds like a LOT of fun.

Excellent trophy! Would make a nice bouncy barstool with a seat, of course. Wish Philly were a bit closer...sigh.
