New JCW owner

Hi just joined your group, I owned a 997 mini cooper many, many years ago, now I own a 2006 Cooper S JCW . Now a Tech question, how do I
zero my service notification in the speedo. I do all my own maintenance
and so after my oil change and filter I would like to zero the mileage indicator. Thanks

Oil Service Indicator:
1. Press & Hold Trip button
2. Insert Key and Turn to Position 1
3. Watch for "RESET" to appear (or "15A")
4. Release Trip button
5. Wait for 3 seconds then Press & Hold Trip button again.
6.Watch & Wait for "RESET" to Flash on left corner (normally takes 5-8 sec.)
7. Release Trip button
8. Press Trip button (20,000 kms will appear). Note: press once only.
9. Service Interval should now been reset to next interval.
Try to keep operation sequence within 2 seconds apart.
BTW, Welcome.

Thank You for the Information

Thank You for the info re: resetting the servicing mileage. I have another question for who can answer it:
I have a 2006 JCW special, I have been lead to believe that this car was
only available through special order and in Canada. On the Tach. it has:
20/64 JCW competition. can any one give me the history of this car, I understand the 64 relates to the Mini Cooper S win in the Monty Carlo Rally.

It appears your car is number 20 of 64 made of a Canadian JCW Competition Edition.

Here is the article that I found:

Thanks ACEkraut11 that is the information I was looking for. It looks like the car
is a KEEPER. Just a little difference from my old 997cc 54HP Mini Cooper
