Bamatt, I meant I'm sure they have the offset & bolt pattern for the MINI. However, they sometimes show a RWD offset wheel on their site....the FWD offset may look completely different with the middle part of wheel convexing more outward. Notice the 2 pics of the exact same model of the Tenzo line and see what I mean.(RWD version looks-wise is fricking hot, for example)

Nope, your Cabrio is still the sweetest I've seen and you're still right there at the top of my list as favorite NAM posters, tt.

I'm looking forward to seeing your new wheels... if they look as good on the CR MINI as I imagine, then I may copy off you and get the same new shoes for Bergey in the future. After all, as kenchan can attest, not all my ideas are original. Ken, if you're reading this, I swear I didn't intentionally steal your garage floor design.

Oooh I need to see pics of that garage floor but don't worry I won't copy it since I have no garage. Feel free to copy on Bergey, I will post pics as soon as I get em on

You must have missed my post about my garage flooring, Teresa. Here's one of the pics:

Either #1 or the Flik Wasps (I'm quite partial to the mesh). $150 per from EdgeRacing.

I like your first choice, but it might not have that concave look with the offset needed for the MINI.

I would stay away from your second choice. I don't like it all IMHO.

I also like the Rial Nogaro over the ASA AR1:

Glad you likey ! Thanks !

It's rubber-composite tiles from Racedeck. It comes in 1 sq foot tiles, so yes, I guess you could say I did it myself. Took a total of about... 6 hours, give or take.

Do you want to build a garage now, just so you can put down a Racedeck tile floor ??

Have a good day !

#1.

Here's why (IMHO, of course): An odd number of spokes is non-symmetric which gives it an "unbalanced" visual appeal - as if the wheel wants to roll. An even number of spokes is more visually balanced and looks a little static. 5 spoke wheels are a classic design and the twin ribs is a modern take on it.

The lack of bolts or rivets gives it a very clean look. The polished lip gives it a nice bit of contrast to the black spokes, but is still somewhat subtle. The polished center area complements the lip.

The fact that the center area is set apart in it's own circle, helps distract the eye from the unpleasant visual mish-mash of 4 lug holes in a 5 spoke design. You just can't make 4 holes fit neatly in a 5 spoke design.

Lastly, the concave shape of the wheels in profile adds a third dimension to the design; it is not just a flat face on the wheel. The caveat (as someone else mentioned) is that this 3D shape may or may not be as pronounced as the photo, depending on what offset is being shown in that photo.

Matt

The Tenzo D-5's are 17X7 & weight in at 19LBS. All the wheels in my 1st post are either 17X7 or 17X7.5 but I don't know the weights for all of them.

Good news My brake problem has finally been solved & I hope to order my new wheels on Monday. I will post pics when I get them installed
