Painted my R56 brake calipers today. Used Dupli-Color Caliper paint. I had done this to my R53 and enjoyed the look. Not hard to do, just be sure to clean they well. I did
disassemble them and removed the pads. New brakes a little different then the ones on the older MINI, more heavy duty.
I'm thinking about painting calipers in red or in green. I've Flame Spoke alloys and I'd like to see how it would be with each one. Anyone here can do it with Photoshop?
here are a few colors I am thinking of painting my calipers in,
(these are photoshoped, ..tell me what you think)? -I kind of like Gold and Red the best.
I used to like red cause they look racy. However, paint often peels over time and looks crappy when dirty with brake dust. Now I paint my calipers Black cause it matches the brake dust. Plus stock calipers don't exactly look sexy enough to paint red IMO.

I have to agree with Penelope on the stock calipers no looking sexy enough to paint. On top of that, red calipers is super common, too. I love the look of TSW's satin ti color. I guess I'm in favor of subdued looks. That said, of your options, I think I like the gold.
I'd consider black or a glossier and darker gray. Did I mention that I like subdued looks?
