New wheels and tires
After waiting for two weeks my wheels finally came in today. They are 16x7 Rota Slipstreams in Royal black mounted on a set of Nitto Neogen 205/50/16's. They have a 40mm off set and I must say it's a tight fit with my H-sport springs in the rear. No rubbing so far but they do fill up the wheel wells nicely I think. Here's a quick shot taken after I got home. I think these will do very well for some Auto cross and canyon carving weekends. What do you all think ?

Hey PaulieK, looks nice. I just mounted up a similar setup this AM. 205/55/15 KDW2's on 15x6.5 Montegi TrackLites in flat black on my PW cooper.
The Montegi is 10 lbs and the KDW2 is 22 lbs. The scale confirmed the combined weight to be 32 lbs. The surprising thing is how light the stock 175/65/15 Pirelli and 7 spoke (no charge 06 non s option) wheels (15x5.5) were. They weighed 28 lbs. I have no idea what the trade off is by adding rotational weight and traction at the same time. Drove 30 miles on highway and twisty back roads. The ride is pretty quiet and slightly more compliant on small bumps. I had a serious accident 27 years ago on brand new tires, so I didn't push them on the road. I did spend 5 minutes in the empty "over flow" lot at the local Home Depot doing some tight figure 8s and low speed (25 or 30) straight to full lock turns just to get that out of my system. Sway bar, adj camber plates and sticky tires. Fun stuff. Doing a 2 day autox school in 3 weeks and a track school in June. The car is ready. We will see about the driver.

Sounds like you have a great track set up. Wow ! 10lbs wheels, now that's light LOL. My Rota's are 13.5 lbs and the tires are 22 lbs. I think this will be a nice combo for my track days and spirited runs thru the hills. I have been on 18's for almost a year and really love the look but I new I needed some wheels just for racing. I was a little put off with the color when I mounted them on the car. I think I like a little more contrast between the wheels and tires. Once you put tires on wheels they look a lot different and I was quite use to the small side wall look of the 18's and now I have this huge side wall but, it does look like I mean business. I plan to drive to Vegas for AMVIV with them on and one thing is for sure, the ride will be a lot smoother this year LOL. Please post some pictures of your new set up. I would really like to see them. I took this shot yesterday out on a spin.
