Just picked up the Rewinds

Just picked up my new tires and wheels - Konig Rewinds (graphite) on a set of Falken ZE512 - 195/60/15. I was really unsure on the tire and size and this is what was recommended by the dealer - an import shop that does a lot of racing. They are in the back of my Jeep and will be mounted tomorrow.

I am replacing a set of OZ - not sure what model. They are nice looking wheels but I have always liked the looks of the mini-lite type wheel - always thought they were a classic look. Not sure what I will do with the OZ wheels - maybe have them powder coated a bronze/graphite color for a different set of wheels.

I will post some pics next week on the mini. Can't wait to get on the road. I'll give a road report next week also.

that should be an alright size tire....most people tend to put 205s on 7 inch wheels, but 195 should work well

I have silver rewinds on MCS and use 205/60/15 Falk 512 all seasons.

grip on wet is insane. inflated to 30 lbs exactly is comfortable and glue grip all around.

my height is about 1% more, yours is like 1.8% less or so than stock. I like high end speed vs off the line so I always go 1% more height if i cant match exactly.

Just curious tri650, where did you purchase them from? I'm looking to get a set in the near future. Goodwin Racing is one of the few places I've been able to locate them.

Where I bought Rewinds

I purchased them at a local shop in St. Louis - Adreneline Motor Sports. They were identified as one of the two distributors in St. Louis. I think I paid $795 total - for tires and wheels. I don't have the receipt in front of me to tell you how much the tires and wheels cost separately. I tried to mount last week and they forgot to give me the center hub part. Had to be ordered. Once mounted I will take pics.

OK, where's the road report?

FWIW, I've got some ZE512 Falkens on my current (non mini) car and like the way they 'perform'.

No report yet

Still no road report - waiting on the center hub piece. They had to order. Expecting it this week. Right now I get to look at the wheels and tires stacked in my garage. After a week of warm weather they are talking about snow, sleet, etc., by this Thursday and then back to normal winter temps - probably just in time for me to put on the new tires/wheels.
