Will rims from a tdi jetta fit?

No. Stop. Im not gonna roll around with lame jetta rims. Im talking about buying some aftermarket rims for an Mk. III from a friend, they are white 6 spoke 15". Light weight for auto x next summer. I dont want to bang up my stock ones till I get nice Anthracite 17". But will these bad boys fit?

IIRC VW has a 57.1mm hub bore, 1mm larger than the mini, so they'll not be hubcentric - tighten lugs carefully and you should be good. Don't know the offset, but if it's between 40 and 50 you're probably OK. Need to check brake caliper clearance though, and use appropriately sized tires.

You are correct on the center bore for the Mk3 (57.1).

I don't know if anyone makes them to go from 56.1 to 57.1, but a hub centering ring would be a good idea. The stock offset for 4 lug VW's of that vintage is usually either -38 or -45 so those will BASICALLY fit the bill
