I'm getting ready to order wheels for my incoming MCS and can't decide between the "classic" look of the BBS RKs or the more modern look of the SSR GT1s. They are both 17x7, will both fit the MINI and both weigh about the same at about 17 lbs. My car is Indi/White with stripes, black aero grille and driving lights (definitely a rally look to it). Pictures of wheels are attached.

Opinions? Let 'er rip!

BBS RK

SSR GT1

SSR.....No doubt. The others look just OK. No they look alright. No they look like stock. Stick with the SSR.

I think since the BBS ones are close in design to the 16" stock they seem more fitting on the car. More subtle of a change, I think. I like the BBS.

Or you could go with the Velox pg-rev 10s

These are 17x7 too and fit on the MINI, but these only weigh 11.5 lbs!

SCA,

I think both look fantastic, but I would choose the SSR GT1s on account of the offset being closer to correct for the car; ET45 versus ET42 for the BBS (Stock is ET48-50).

Good luck,

James

How about getting the GT1s in white to match the rally nature of your car? They are available in white in the same 17" fitment. I'm close to ordering a DS/W MCS and thinking of getting the white GT1s, Rogue shadow stripes, and driving lights...

To my inexperienced eyes
the GT1s strongly resemble the JCW wheels, except the GT1s are 17" while the JCWs are 18". You could give your car a sneak JCW look with the GT1s.

my vote is GT1. Must paint up those brakes beforehand!
