Team Dynamic Wheels questions (and NAM's mixed answers)
It's great to have a mini shop right here in Central Ohio! I plan on giving you some business when I pick up my mini.
Do you do tire installs on your wheels; and alignment jobs? If not who do you recommend in Columbus?

There is a shop right up the street that did a great job on mounting and balancing (and can do alignments as well) the set on my car...but honestly it is not hard to find someone to mount tires. Just make sure you note any damage or scuffs (if any) before anyone mounts them and then check them once they're done.
As far as getting tires, we can get Kuhmo, TOYO and I think Yokohama tires in 1-2 business days.

Hey how wide can I get 17"s without rubbing. I do not care if I have to use spacers, etc...I want 17x9's, but will settle for the 17x8's if I have to. I need alot of tire because I am planning on a massive turbo build. Thanks.
I have 40 offset and I was told that those brakes will fit.
Thanks, Cyn. I emailed with Scott and Mike at Texas Speedwerks yesterday and got confirmation that the 15x7" Pro Race 1 *will* work with the 11.75" Wilwood kit when using a 40mm offset. Aaron at OutMotoring was also very helpful. And thanks for the pic! That's my car, almost exactly (I even have a stubby antenna!).
couple of quick questions (cuz' I am confused).
-I have a brand new MCS on order, ...was going to order a set of wheels + tires. (was going for the Konig Runaways w/ Yokohama's). The set comes balanced, ...do I need to have an alignment done? The car will have like 50 miles on it when I switch the tires. Plus, I plan on keeping the stock set and switching them to stock (w/ the all season tires) in winter. ...will have to get an alignment everytime I switch tires?
Second question, does the 2008 MCS have the TPMS installed? If so, what are you guys doing about that and the custom wheels your getting? Do you also get a new TPMS system installed on each wheel? -do you know if the Mini's have the valve type of TPMS or the wheel mounted type?
Thanks,
(just trying to figure out the details before I place my order)

Thanks CynMini,
that's what I kind of figured yet wanted to check. I was reading the details on my tire order (still haven't placed it yet) and saw that they recommend an aligment. ...figured it was cover your aXX type of legal stuff.
What about the TPMS? can you run w/o it ...will you get annoying beeps and lights going off in the car? or do you have a second set installed on the new wheels?

thanks MF44,
okay since I am ordering a complete tire and wheel package. Should I ask them to install wheel/valve sensors for me? Or is it easy for me to remove the valve sensors on my stock wheels and install on the new wheels? -you kind of made it sound like it's something that slides over the valve stems?
thanks (sorry for so many questions ...The TPMS thing is new to me)

Thanks, now I completely understand.
Yes, I noticed that Tireracks carries the sensors for like $185. That's fine. Yet, I am not thrilled w/ their selection. I really like what Wheelnext has, so I am going to call and see if they can install the sensors for me.
Thanks for your help.

I realize this an old thread but i didn't see anyone mention what hubcentrics are needed with TD 1.2's on a R53,anyone know? The reason i ask is the wheels i'm looking at to possibly buy are off a Honda also 4x100 but i'm sure different hub size.

Thanks Sid, is there a specific size i need? I believe the Mini hub is 56.1?I was under the impression i needed rings with 56.1 on the hub side and _?__mm on the wheel side to center the 1.2's.I don't know what size the 1.2's are as i don't have them yet,and i'm sure this diameter is different from wheel mfg. to wheel mfg.. So, is it 56.1 x _____? Is this correct?
Thanks Again,
Bill
