What would be the best tire size and make for a 16x7.5 ssr wheel, im looking for street legal tires that would mostly be used for autocross(stx) and track days(looking for best dry performance, dont care about wet), any suggestions?

 

215/45R16... Hankook z212's (Edge Racing - $85 a pop) or Falken Azenis RT-615 (supposed to arrive in March)... JMHO!

The Hankooks are much better in the rain, IMHO...

 

would this tire size cause any rubbing with a john cooper works suspension? and would the 16x7.5 ssr comp clear the john cooper brakes, people said that it should but has anyone tried it?

 

Don't know about clearing the brakes, but with the right offset wheels the tires will clear everything at stock ride height or lowered. Speaking from 70K miles experience.
