Pirelli P6 Allroad, PLEASE stay away!

I was driving along in the A4 today (yes, i know i should be driving my mini!), but anyways, while driving down the highway, i hear a very loud noise coming from the back, as well as rubber smell... i stopped the car and to my suprise, the tire has gone flat on me. No problem, swap the full size spare that the car came with and i was on my way 30 minutes later

but when i got home, i took the tire out of the back, and to my suprise! the inside wall as completely shredded! as well, the entire sidewall on the car has collapsed! there was a HUGE cut on the inside of the tire, and i dont recall stepping in something sharp like that... i read a few reviews on tire rack and it seems this side-wall collapse is a very common problem
anyways, for whatever car it maybe, STAY AWAY from this tire!

This happened to a friend of mine running stock RF on their MCS. They let the pressure get so low to where the axle side wall collapse. Basically the tire to road contact was concave, thus eat up the inside and ouside walls. They couldn't be driven on and it had to be towed. Keep an eye on tire pressure gang.

Now I feel better! Just left the supermarket and, spotted a 2006 Mini S
with those wonderful Pirrelli tires that last on the average of 3 months
or 12.000 miles. They were with out-tread. the person was just getting
ready to leave I asked them how they liked the tires and if they had
contacted the dealer/ tire company about them. They had the same experences that I had. The dealer( Flow Mini) Winston Sal N,C. official
line is, soft tires, We do not use them any more, Call the tire Rep,
will not replace, tough luck, When You buy a anouther Mini ,mention
the problem and We might give You some cash off your new Mini.
Talked to tire Rep, Ans Those folks at flow do not know how to align
the Mini and our tires are great and, You must race the car every weekend
to have the tires look like that. My wife drives 60 miles to work ,total
each week. Love the service! Joe. I can not wait to by My 3rd Mini
from them. Joe Wilmington N,C. Please give Me a call at (910) 3836431
for a tip on a great deal at Flow Mini Winston Salem N, C . P,S. Please
mention You only want The Pirelli run flats on Your Mini S.
