New tires hitting wheel well over bumps

I just installed 205/50R16 Blizzak tires on My 06 MCS

They were mounted and balanced on AT Italia Rims from Tirerack.

I find that when I go over small bumps one of the rear tires seems to be hitting the wheel well.

I noticed tonight that the right rear tire has approx 2.25 inch clearance from the top of tire tread to the outer wheel well, but the left side rear has only approx 1.25 inches of clearance, I tried moving the vehicle to different road areas, as to get the smoothest area I could and found the results to be the same.

I tried jacking up the vehicle and then lowering it but it doesn't seem to have any effect.

It appears that the suspension is lower on the left rear than the right rear.

The MINI has only 230 miles on him and is unloaded(meaning I'm not carrying any interior load on one side and not the other).

Any suggestions?

I just discovered this tonight so I haven't been able to notify my Mini Service dept to see what they think.

Thanks in advance

Scott,
Email me your billing phone # please.

I'd be looking @ the bumper brackets - just inside your fenderwell - right abov e the bumper it self. Pull off a wheel- and see if you see any gray or grease marks on the wheelliner plastic... we're trying to locate the rub..
