What is everyone doing with their run flats after they replace them? These are expensive tires. It there any place that will buy them? I haven't seen any on eBay.

Why are we replacing run flats that are good enough to resell? Am I blonde or doesn't the tire store keep your old worn out tires when you buy a new set? Are you replacing perfectly good run flat tires with new regular tires that will blow out? if we replace the run flats with regular tires, can we call the 24 HR road assistance number when we have a flat or would we have to call our own towe truck to get us to the tire store? Have I missed something here?

This question ties in with the threads in the Performance forum. Run flats aren't good performance tires and we are looking to improve the look of the car (in our opinons) by putting a wider, lower profile tire on the car. We're changing perfectly good air filters for air filters that offer better performance as well. As for needing to change a tire because it blows out...I've changed one in the twenty years that I have been driving and it was avoidable. I recklessly hit a curb.

And no, they don't have to keep them. In fact, they generally charge you to keep them. The charge is a disposal fee.
