Any one interested in a Rotor / Brake Pad Group Buy?

I are looking to hold a Rotor / Brake Pad Group Buy Deal. If I can get 5 people interested, Then I will offer our Racing Brake Rotor Full Package which retails at 412.99. But we will throw in Free Front and Rear Pads at no cost.

That is 572.99 worth of items for only 412.99, a 28% savings. This will be offered if we can get 5 people interested.

Let me know by posting here.

How hard is an install on a brake kit? Is it something I can do myself? I'm reasonably mechanically competent, but not a real mechanic, and have a decent toolbox with no specialised bake tools.

Install is not too bad. Only special tool needed can be replaced with a large c-clamp to retract the rear brake calipers. Other then that you need a metric tool set, and some torx bits. You also will need a jack and jack stands. Just usual Mechanics items. I do believe that there is a how to somewhere on this forum.

Got all those except a c-clamp. I'm going to have to do my brakes soon anyway. Does the 3 year service from MINI include brakes?

Oh yeah, do these pads produce less dust than the stock ones?

Mini only covers brakes if the wear is considered "Above Normal Wear" But in most cases, they would not cover it.

They produce less dust then stock, but if you are truly worried about dust, we can include EBC Green Stuff wich is the lowest dust Pad.

I'm not super-worried about dust, but I'd like the car to go more than 20 miles after washing before the wheels don't look like they have a polished lip any more.

Is 22000 miles and about worn out above normal wear for a car that's never been on a track?

I don't think that Mini would consider that above normal. You can always Call your MA though to find out.

Just talked to Desert, and they will replace my brakes if the dash light comes on inside the 3 years/36,000 miles. The service writer told me to "drive it like I stole it" since my oil change will be due in about 2000 miles and my 3 years is up in October.

I appreciate your patience Dan. I can't convince the wife that I need this if the dealership will replace them for free.
