Konig Rewind

Konig Rewind..

This months GRM mentioned that the Minilite-esque Konig Rewind will soon become available in Mini-friendly sizes - 15x7, 4x100, 40mm offset. One vendor I spoke with said he's getting his first shipment in about three weeks. Projected price per wheel: $109.

13 pounds for the 15x7 size. Not exactly a lightweight, but cheap and "light enough" for street driving.

I'm thinking of placing my order. Is a 40mm offset a good size for a Mini?

I think with a 195 size you won't have problems with a 40mm offset

even if you lowered it.

Looks good.

What about with Kumho Ecsta MX's in 205/50WR-15? I happen to have a almost-new set I took off my old Integra.

Craig those wheels and tires will fit perfectly...but will lower your car a good deal considering its just a tire change. Those are the exact tires i plan on running.

I have had the rewinds on order from konig for a while(cant wait for them to be released)...i'm talking to them about using my car as a model for the wheels

Vendor is http://www.good-win-racing.com/

A Miata/RX-8 shop, but luckily Miata wheels are the same bolt pattern & offset as Mini's.

No, I'm not affiliated, just a happy customer..

From the posts I've red, Miata's can use much more aggressive offsets than the MINI... so might want to be careful not to go any smaller than +40mm
unless you plan to do the Alex-dremel technique.

40 mm is perfect for a 7 inch wide rim....38 is where the mini usually starts hitting problems. On top of that if he is running 205/55/15, rubbing on the arches shouldnt be a problem since that is smaller then stock diameter

I like these wheels. Too bad they won't look as good once they change the offset.

Based on my RP-F1 experance, I'm not going to be the first one to buy these for a Mini application. However, if someone does, I'd love to hear if they fit!

I may go with the all silver model, worry that the black/silver might look a bit garish.

Someone is running 14's? Wow. 14x6 with 195/60-14 Azenis would rock. I think wheel spin would be an issue, but once you got some traction, the car would leap off the line.

Wonder if they'll make them in silver. Sure hope so. Very tempted to get a set with 215-50s - nearly 9" wide but only 23.5" tall. I think they'll fit..
