15x8 et35 Thoughts...

Hey all,

I am in the market for wheels and tires and have read through the threads on fitment of 8” wheels in the r53. At this point I am inches away from pulling the trigger and ordering a new set, but need some peace of mind before doing so. My car is on stock suspension and will most likely stay that way for a bit. I’ve got my eye on the Konig Hypergrams which are available in 15x7.5 or 8” with an offset of 35. Anyone out there running this setup without rubbing issues? If so, I would love to see some pics! I’ve used the will it fit calculator and it should poke about 1 inch compared to stock but not 100% on what they would look like not lowered.

for tires I’m looking at 195-60-15s to keep dimensions closer to stock.

Thanks in advance!

I would also like to know the answer to this as I too am looking at 15 x 8 hyper grams with a et35 and want to run 225x45/15 kumo tires

You might have problems with clearance on the rear wheels rubbing against the rear lower suspension, it depends on wheel design. I have other 15x8" et36 wheels that require a thin 3mm spacer on the rear with an R53 MINI.

195/60-15 does give OEM tire diameter of 24.2" but fits rims 5.5-7" wide, perfect for 6" wide rim so not for 15x8" rims. Also tire selection for performance in that size is minimal to none.
