Will they fit onto stock suspension? 16x8 +25

Hey everyone. I'm currently running stock suspension and starting to learn more about stance, offset, etc. I'm really interested in these wheels for sale:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/AVID-1-AV-19...dWNAyx&vxp=mtr

They make a 16x9 version that I would much rather prefer, but I have doubts that they will fit. I've researched quite a bit on the topic, but can't find a definite answer. So with stock suspension, will the 16x8 +25 wheels equipped with tires roughly 195/45/16 or 205/45/16 in size fit with no rubbing? I like the looks of stretched tires as long as it's not extreme, as it won't affect my needs on the road. Thanks in advance for any help that anyone is willing to give!

Yes they will fit. However you may have a little poke outside of the fender flares. Also stretched tires are not to safe IMO. They can easily pop off the bead of the wheel if you are not careful.

Anything lower than ET35 is pretty extreme for the 1st Gen MINI.

I'm okay with the poke, as well as a little tire stretch and the risks associated. Just curious if they would rub on anything on the inside of the wheel well, as well as the fender flares.

With a 195 you'll probably not have any rubbing. The 205's MAY rub a bit under hard dips. I went a 15x8 28ET, just to get a tad bit more clearance, not to mention an even lighter wheel/tire combo. It is absolutely amazing how different our cars ride, handle, and accelerate with the smaller, lighter wheel/tire combos. No offense to those that run the 17's and 18's, as they do look great, but I'll never go back to heavier wheels.

Just found some pics of your JCW, it looks very good. What size tires do you have? I normally don't like 15's but they actually look fitting to the car. Do you think you could've gotten by with 16x9's?

Thanks Cody...I went with 205/50/15's. I get Zero rub with the 28et. I did quite a bit of research as I was originally going to go with 16x8 20et's, then 15x8 25et's, and then finally settled on the Enkei's at the 28et. I knew those would never rub, and at 11.25lb's a wheel it's hard to go wrong.

I agree with you, I think 15's are very fitting on the first gen cars. A big brake kit isn't necessary at all if you're reducing that much rotational weight, and go and upgrade your rotors, good pads, and lines. That's all the braking you'll ever really need. Plus, think of the money saved on doing the smaller wheels and tires, and not doing a BBK. Of course, it all comes down to wants, not needs
