Just curious if anyone else has run into this with the fixed I.E. plates-

I found this because there was a significant groaning sound when turning the steering wheel at low speed / stopped on the first test drive. I fixed it by sticking a long pry bar through the spring & hammering that sheet metal ridge in a couple mm., away from the spring. Lowered the car back down & hallelujah, no more groaning! Anyone else run into this?

yup that ridge is a common place for the springs to rub. We usually just hammer it down with a dead blow hammer so you got it fixed right now.
