R53 wheels to R56?

Will I run into problems installing R53 wheels on my R56 (2012 S)? My R56 does have TPMS. Is it ok for the TPMS light to just stay on for the months I would run these wheels (Winter )?

You will need an M14 to M12 stud conversion kit and lug nuts. R53 wheels have are made for M12 studs while the R56 is made for M14 studs. I'm new to this site and just bought an 11' MCS but bought a set of aftermarket wheels from an R53.

Here is the kit I bought to run the R53 wheels.

Good luck!

No entirely accurate information... I have a set of R84 x-lite wheels for winter duty, and no modifications required for mounting to my 2012 R55 Clubman S. Didn't have to drill out the wheels, didn't need spacers, didn't need to run the 12mm lug conversion - they mounted right up.

As for TPMS... you will have no problems without sensors, so long as you keep an eye on the tire pressures. I have a set of Miata wheels for summer duty, and have no pressure sensors in them. I get the warning when I start the car, and the light stay illuminate in the speedo cluster. But, other than those two "issues", no other problems.

Awesome info! I just got my mini and have no idea what R84 x-lites are but figure they are factory wheels but dont know what generations they came on to argue the fact. But i needed to be educated about the TPS! thanks!
