JCW brakes for 2017 S Hardtop

The brakes on the S are lacking for stopping power. Would better pads increase the stopping power ?

Also to put the JCW brake kit on seems to get involved. I have 18" BBS wheels so I believe they'll clear the rotors and calipers. Is the offset changed so the wheels stick out more ??. Dealers website mentions something about needing JCW wheel arches. Plus they want $900 for the install which pushes the price up to a crazy amount.

Cheapest and easiest is to try better pads first. EBS red seems to be the go to choice. If that works you've saved yourself a lot of money and headaches.

My favourite pads are EBC Red Stuff but if you are after better braking then I'd recommend EBC Yellow Stuff.
