235/40 Tire on 19" JCW Double Spokes?

We currently have the stock 225/4019 Pirelli run-flats on our 19" JCW double spokes, and the ride is, well, a bit harsh. Has anyone put 235/40 tires (non-RF) on 19" JCW double spokes for a bit more cushion? Would you do it again? How's the road noise? Thanks!

For a softer ride you don't need a wider tire but one with a different ASPECT RATIO.

A wider tire will yield a taller sidewall (holding aspect ratio constant).
