R53 rear brake hose difference

So today I was going to replace my rear calipers, but the parts store ordered the early versions.. So I thought maybe I should replace my hoses while I'm at it... Is the only difference the fitting size, or am I going to run into more problems as well....

Yes, in 4/2003 was the big change in the rear brake lines, I would get the correct lines.

VS

The front portions are the same , the rear ends are different on the lines.

I use the Goodridge stainless steal lines HERE. I've had them on the car for about at least 9 years. They've done quite well. I track with the set up as well. You'll want to check the build date on your vehicle. At that link it'll have them for build date through 04/03 and build date from 05/03. If you're unsure I can always check with your vin if you'd like. A really good fluid that'll compliment the line upgrade would be ATE Typ 200 HERE. It's what I have used for many many years for daily and track use.

Update for everyone- I ended up taking the calipers back and getting the proper ones... I DID still replace the brake lines though! As much as I like to think I'll never sell my car, I couldn't help but think of the poor sap that owns it next going to the auto parts store in 10 years and trying to get the proper parts...
