Different style fog lights on r56?

I am the new owner of a Bayswater R56 and the fog lights look very different compared to other pictures of R56's I've seen. It looks like there's a bulb inside, but there's no rear fog light switch on the inside. Does anyone know what they are for?

That's normal. They install the same light fixture (complete with bulb) whether or not the car actually has the rear fog option. So you have an extra bulb that isn't connected and does nothing.

As for looking different, the rear lights were updated in 2011. The 2007-2010 rear fog was solid red (or black filler plug if no rear fog option), with the reverse light up in the taillight.

So if I can get an extra switch for the panel, I can just have the dealer activate the rear fog, or is there no wiring for it? Also, are the white parts on the outer edges reverse lights?

I never liked rear fog lights on usdm cars, because no one knows how to use them. And it is funny when people wire them as a brake light.

Yes,

Its prewired, The whites are the reverse light. You can add the toggle and pop out the plug for the toggle, but you will have no icon. Or you can get the cover with the icon that lights up when activities. What options do you have in the toggle bank or post up a pics.

So, if I open up the toggle panel, there will be a plug for the extra switch? Are front fogs pre wired like that as well?
