Flat Spot in EBC Red brake pad performance
I have EBC red pads on my R53 and they're properly bedded in, however I've noticed an interesting phenomena with their performance. I haven't had a chance to get them on a track, but on the street, they have a great initial bite, but when I really get on them it seems like the braking force isn't proportional to pedal pressure. ie I press harder on the pedal but the braking force doesn't increase.
I've tried a couple of times to warm the brakes and see if it makes a difference in performance but I haven't gotten a good chance due to traffic and the nature of street driving. Has anybody else noticed anything like this? it's not particularly upsetting, but it makes me wonder if I should consider a different pad next time I need new ones.
