I recently got a 2011 Mini S, and with winter on the way I wanted to be ready. My last car had snow tires, but even then had a rough time last winter here in Jersey (hills everywhere), so I've been looking at having snow chains available. In the owners manual, Mini recommends 175/65 R15s tires for snow chains, but I'm an amateur when it comes to wheel/tire fitment. Would these 15" steelies fit on my Mini with these tires?

My concern is that the center bore for the rims is 72.00mm, where I believe the Minis center bore is 56.1mm, does that make a difference? Any help would really be appreciated.

 

(Most) 15" wheels will not clear the brakes on a R56S.
It is highly unlikely that those steelies will fit.

 

Ah ok, thanks for all the help. In the owners manual they specify the 15" rims, but I figured something was up because almost all websites don't offer the 15" rims with the S Cooper, only the base hardtop. Not fitting with the brakes makes sense.

 

You need the MINI 16" steelies they fit perfect for Gen 2 R56+ Cooper S ( without JCW brakes). We even carry the cool matching center caps. Factory painted silver. 16 x 5.5
