Vmr v710

spoke with VMR extensively about fitment for my 2014 MCS and they "convinced" me 18x8.5 ET45 will fit. I said flush with fenders. I've ordered and waiting to receive/install, but gotta bad feeling it won't work!!! I'll be lowering slightly with H&R springs. Problem is VMR's smallest wheel is 8.5" but I really love this wheel.

TBD

They wont fit....

I'm willing to bet that the inside of the wheel will foul the suspension strut and then you will need to space it out (by a minimum of 6 mm)

If thats the case and you can get 6mm spacers, your set up would then stick out 12.4mm than mine.

I'm lowered on KW coilovers and I wouldn't recommend anything more than another 5mm before you would run into pretty awful clearance issues.

I agree it will likely need a small spacer. As far as the rubbing i think the tire size will be the major factor. With a mild stretch i think it will clear the fenders. If meaty tires, forget about it. My guess is 205 will be safe, 215 will rub without camber, and 225 will need work.

Ok. I've heard you guys and will heed your suggestion. I've got to abandon VMR and now thinking Rse12 gunmetal gray 18x7.5. What is ET for close to flush w/o spacers? ET45? Tire size?

I wouldn't abandon hope. I'm confident you can make it work if you don't mind a little spacer. If you don't want spacers anywhere around et40 will get pretty flush without spacers. The pic at the top of this page shows an aggressive et30 on the rear.

I prefer not sticking out beyond fender as shown in pic u reference. I don't think VMR makes a fitment that'll work.

I'm thinking of a gunmetal Rse12 and this look:

Yea the 710 are nice and come with 18x8.5. Smallest size is 8.5. You might poke a bit or come really close. But let us know how it fits with pics: You will need the 66.6 CB ones.

I've always loved the VMR as it was my goal on two cars in the past (M3 & GTI), but never did. After some research, talking with VMR, listening to forum's experience, etc...I think my path now is Rse12 gunmetal. It's promoted for MINI and proven. Hopefully the 18x7.5 ET45 will give me close to flush with fenders and good clearances with a H&R spring drop. Pics when complete

If have coilovers, there is even less room.
You need like a 38 offset or less with 8: wide wheels
