Wheel and Tire Help

I have some R113 18"x7" John Cooper Works Cross-Spoke Red Stripe Alloy Wheels... Right now, the wheels have the 205/40R18 Pirelli P Zero Summer tires on them and they are low on tread and not doing so well in the cold, snowy weather (obviously)..

On my last car I had a winter set and summer set of tires. I would prefer to go to a single all season tire.

I had run flats on my last car, and to save a few bucks I got non-run flat tires both for my summer and winter sets.. I found that this made the ride more comfortable but I lost a great deal of the steering response, the sidewalls where just too squishy.. This time I won't make that mistake, rft it is..

Tirerack does not list any all season run flats in the 205/40R18 size.. I did find some 225/40RF18 tires.. will this fit my R113s? Will it cause rubbing or any other issues?

I do still have my other set of winter tires as I have not sold them yet. I could keep them and buy new summer tires but I have a few concerns about adapting my winter setup to fit my Mini.
  • 17x8 MOTEGI RACING MR118 BLK PAINT with 215/45R-17 General Altimax Arctic tires
  • They are a 5x120 bolt pattern. I have found that I can get an adapter from Motor-Tech. I would need to get the Two Piece Adapter Hub Centric to Car & Wheel Centric to Wheel (as I may be doing some towing). They need an adapter thickness (35mm is the minimum)..
  • is 35mm and 8" wide wheels too much?
  • Would theses wheels, tires and adapter cause any rubbing or other issues?
  • These wheels have TPMS from tirerack, but I bought them for my 135i.. will these TPMS work with my Mini?

TIA!

225/40-18 will fit the R113 wheels OK. Tire diameter is tall at 25.1" but will fit stock suspension, don't overload your MINI which can risk rubbing. If your MINI is lowered then it likely will rub. Measure your current tires height and see if there is about 16mm clearance for a taller tire.

Using a different hub bolt pattern is not really a good idea. Those Motegi wheels are not a good choice for a MINI.

I agree with minihune, I ran 225 45 17 on a R56 with sport suspension and the 225 40 18 is basically the same tire size for 18" rims.
