Two piece web spokes
Two piece web spokes
I we'll the previous owner of my JCW '06 painted the 17" web spokes, plus the are not in the best shape so...
My intentions are to polish to its original state the "bed" or "ring" (don't know how you call it) and to repaint the center part. To do this I'd like to unscrew the two parts and paint separately also to remove the paint from all the screws.
My question is, does anybody knows what's the torque on those screws? And the right way to tighten them? I really really really wouldn't like to ruin my wheels or put my life/car in danger for not doing it correctly.

Hello!
Those are known as R98 Web Spokes; I've been planing a restoration of mine (sooner or later) and the torque I was told is 22.5 lb-ft/270 lb-in and you must use torque lock (blue was used, I might even consider red).

Awesome, are yours bent too? What color are you planning for yours? I'm thinking white to match the roof
