SS Brake line question!

Hey all,

I just have a quick question regarding braided brake lines.

I bought a set a couple years ago thru GB and they've been sitting around up until now..

My car is 05 R53 and my plan was swap the lines out when I was doing R56S conversion up front..

Since I have a track day coming tomorrow, I figured I would get at it after work today..

So I was looking around to gather more info on this job but noticed how some people mention the rears are banjo fitting..

I believe they were changed to straight-male fitting on later year cars? (My car is at my brother's house so I couldn't visually check)

The contents I've received from the GB are as follows:

4x SS Lines (Male fitting, Screw in type - Confirmed fitting with R56S calipers)
4x Copper washers

Well here are my questions:

1) 2005 R53: Rear lines, Banjo or male-screw in type?
2) I have 4 copper washers when theres no banjo fitting lines. What's going on? Am I suppose to use em on the caliper or at the point where hard hydraulic lines meet? or was it sent out as a mistake?

Please lend me a hand here!

Thank ya'll in advance

MINIs with production dates in or before April 2003 have a banjo fitting where the rear hose attaches to caliper.
MINIs with production date of May 2003 and later does not have the banjo fitting at the rear caliper - threads directly into caliper.

That's what I needed

Any idea on why the seller included copper washers?

Because they crush and seal the hose to the caliper. Without them they can leak.

Yes, and make sure you get the old one off if it is stuck on the caliper.
