TPMS error?

I just got back from a week long vacation. on my way to pickup my dog at a friend's house I get the alarm that my front left tire has low pressure. It came up after a short distance, maybe 2-3 houses down the road.

I got back from my friend's house (less than 2 miles) and checked the pressure and it was 32 psi! I also checked the rear left and it was 33.5. from what the owners manual it looks like the TPMS bases a fault on rotation distance between other tires. Could 1.5 psi cause the alarm? I didn't check the other tires (I'm tired and jet lagged!)

Do I have a problem or should I just reset? Is my Countryman mad at me for leaving it? (I did miss it a lot!)

Thanks in advance!

It was mad at you for leaving it. Check your door sticker for tire pressure and check all 4. Make sure they are all even. Then reset the light and you should be good.

Great! I feel relieved. I'm glad I don't have to pony up the bucks for a new run flat.

My tire caps have N2 on them. Can I add regular gas station air or should I get more Nitrogen somewhere?

your countryman has pressure sensors inside the tires ... it is not rotation based, but actually reads the pressure and alarms on a pressure change

all tires do not have to be at the same pressure, i run 5 psi more in the fronts than the rears and have run upto 10 psi differential

They still have to be above the threshold of the sensors.
