Hi, my runflat tire just got smashed on a huge pot hole and gave me a flat. I need to replace it today so i can get to work at 4pm. I just called and a replacement runflat will cost me $214. I had planned on replacing my wheels and tires in the next few weeks so it really hurts me to spend this much money. Would it be bad if I bought a cheaper 205/45/17 tire and just used it for the next few weeks and then used it as a spare when i get my new tires?

why don't you just buy a used tire for around 70 - 100. if you are going to have to use it for a like 2 weeks instead of buying a brand new runflats. It will hold you till you get your new wheels

my guess is a used 17" tire is going to be hard to find by 4 PM.

I would get one 17" tire (Yokohama AVS ES100 in 16" cost me $75, I believe 17" is more like $90).

What wheels/tires were you going to get? If they are 17" why not just buy the tires now? Or one of those tires now?

well here's the thing. i plan on still using the runflats in the winter because the tires i will be buying will be useless in the snow. (like Azenis) And they only have 20,000 miles on them, so they should be good for another 20,000 im hoping, or atleast one more winter season. So I would be needing to buy another runflat anyways. So that is probably what i am going to have to do.

plus i was thinking 215/45/17 or 215/40/17 as an option and the runflats as you know are 205's
