TMPS Won't reset!

New winter tires, wheels and TMPS installed today and now the TMPS won't reset, I have driven 100 miles already, system alerts me, allows me to reset, cycles for 20 min then I have to try and reset again. Retailer (won't name yet) assures me that the monitors are working and are for the correct year.We have a 2012 MCSc with MINI Connected no Nav. How long should it take for the system to relearn the new tires and pressure, spent the extra money for sensors so we didn't have to live with the dam light

You should be able to just go into the TPMS screen, stop the vehicle, press reset, wait a few seconds, then drive off. I have a 6speed so I'm not sure if you need to have the car in park or drive in an automatic but I'd assume the car would tell you. After you drive off the sensor resets itself in a minute or two and the light should stay off.

Done that half a dozen times or so, have a manual trans as well, stopped the car went to the menu hit the reset button tries to reset for 20 min (I timed it) then the system goes back to giving me a warning. I think they sold me the wrong senors this should not take this long to reset. We have only 3500 miles on the car and have had no problems with the sensors. Thanks for the reply

That sounds very probable. When I got new wheels, they came with sensors from a '10. When I tried to reset the TPMS it acted exactly the same way you are saying.

I think you need this part number:
36106790054

The P/N for the 07-10 models should be:
36106790054

Haha, I suppose it is. They're definitely different sensors tho so realoem has at least one of the numbers wrong.
