That said, another NAM member made a good point that one should not skimp on one of the most important parts of any car: what sits between the car itself and the road - your rubber. When I ditched my RFTs for the Hankooks I was definitely budget-conscious. But, once my Hankooks wear I'm going Conti Extreme Contact or Michelin Pilot Sports or Super Sports as they get some of the best reviews out there.
I also currently have these on my stock wheels and they are good to go. Not super high performance but you can't beat the price.
