Another option: Hankook Ventus V12 Evo's. A reasonably priced tire (got mine from Tire Rack) that rides well, is quiet, and handles dry & wet roads adroitly.
That said, another NAM member made a good point that one should not skimp on one of the most important parts of any car: what sits between the car itself and the road - your rubber. When I ditched my RFTs for the Hankooks I was definitely budget-conscious. But, once my Hankooks wear I'm going Conti Extreme Contact or Michelin Pilot Sports or Super Sports as they get some of the best reviews out there.
