235/40 Z1 Star Spec on Motegi MR125 17x7.5, all via Alex at TireRack.
Some very minor rubbing on the plastic fender pieces at the front, and contact between the tire and the wheel well liner at the rear on big bumps (stock suspension). This really seems to be just a hair too large; there's maybe 5mm clearance to the strut in front / trailing arm in the rear and no room at all for more poke. If I want to drop it to deal with the fender gap, I think I'll have to go down to 225s.
Sticks like glue, but.

Since it was a toss up for me between the MR125's and the Enkei Imola's, I'm curious to see what I would have had...

Those look great, and i dont mind trimming a little.

) are almost indistinguishable from the Imola's - a great choice for your color combo, too.

There are optional suspension pieces, but I didn't order them as I was planning on going aftermarket anyway. Currently, it has the same suspension as a regular Cooper S Clubman.
The most notable difference between the wheels is probably that the Motegi's are brake-dust coloured to begin with; there is no shiny to worry about. 8)

Just installed these 17x7 O.Z. Alleggerita HLT with Michelin Pilot Supersport 215/45ZR-17. The ride and handling is fantastic. I don't know whether the improvement came from the tires or lighter wheels. The Alleggeritas weigh only 14.3 pounds compared to my Challenge Spoke wheels at over 23 pounds apiece.
