There's a Rimblades site in the UK that has a video. I like the look but I change my mind a lot and I fear the two sided tape would be hard to get off, without scratching the wheels.

Hey, if you like 'em, buy 'em. $55 isn't going to break the bank (I hope).

I think they would be a fairly subtle change, and would be much more tasteful than many of the other mods I've seen on here, in my opinion. But I would never say anything bad about anyone else's choices if it suits them.

I like them. Got an email from goBadges a few days ago announcing there arrival.....like the red ones as I am trying to discreetly add red accents on my White w/Black roof Countryman.

To the original poster, life's short, disregard the "bored housewives" comments(as they post/blog as that is the extent of their exciting lives), and mod as you wish and get out there and drive!

I happen to share that opinion.

I hope I didn't come across as negative or hateful. MINIs should be fun. My only mod is a baby seat and a bonnet ding from my first week of ownership.

Do it to it.

I would not let that stop you. YOU-Ification is what it is all about, not majorityconcensus-Ification. Do what you like, like what you do. You can change it if you don't!

I saw these on a c class in silver the other day and they blended in quite well. The only thing for me would be getting them on there perfectly round, because it would drive me nuts if they looked wobbly when the wheels spun... But I'm **** like that haha

Though there is a website that was posted here in the last couple of days promoting lug covers. I kinda like those but, could be taken the same way as these.

It's so funny you mention the lug/bolt covers. I was going to post about them because they really are nice and clean looking...I have pepper white with black wheels and white caps for the bolts. Looks awesome. Furthermore, they are hard to take off which is a theft deterrent.

But I digress...

Don't be sorry! That's the whole purpose of forums like this. People like me just shoot-off opinions, that's all.

Put Rimblades from Gobadges on a couple of weeks ago. I did the silver to cover the rash on a couple of rims and match the alloy wheels. Very easy, look really good and I like them. I'm the only one who probably notices but I'm the one who loves to look out and admire my little car.

I saw them online last year, and saw them in person at a tradeshow a couple weeks ago. It just looks like a spot for water and dirt to collect and seep into your wheels clear coat.

I don't think it could stand up driving against a curb. Maybe if you clipped it while parallel parking, you'd be safe, but not from something that would cause major curb rash.
There are shops in my area that charge $60 per wheel to fix curb damage, how much are these?

And lastly online reviews said they look ok, but then the glue comes apart and then you have a strip of plastic whipping out of your wheel damaging paint or other cars.

I purchased a used set of BBS R90's and when i got them the curb rash was worse than described. I installed the RimBlades and they covered the damage and looked great. I would wait till it warmed up a bit and dont be in a hurry to drive them until they have had time to cure. I ended up slinging two off and GoBadges was kind enough to send me replacements. Here is how they looked http://imgur.com/a/uxHSD#a6qutF6
I would get them again as they did the trick. Sold the wheels so no long term results to report.

Saddest part is that your statement could sum up most of NAM!, or a least anywhere that opinions are expressed on here.

There is a great deal of info on this forum but it seems everyone needs to tread lightly about expressing ones opinion, otherwise those users on their mighty high horse feel the need to invade your thread and belittle you for disagreeing with them

I really dislike the frequency and severity of negative posts. The coolest thing about owning a Mini is all the cool things you can do to individualize you ride. if you don't like something don't do it to your car. I would not like it if all minis looked the same. I think it's cool when I see something new, even if its not something I would do on my car.

As General George Patton said, " if everyone is thinking alike, then somebody isn't thinking"

Word.

Anyway, I was thinking of picking these up too. Seemed like a nice way to get a red lip around the wheel without actually painting it. Until I read this on the E90 forum.

"Anyone else tried this product?

http://www.rimblades.com/

I fitted them to my 230 wheels not long ago and just refitted to the car.

First outing and they failed.

One came off at 70mph, marked the wing with a bang and the car behind swerved to avoid it!

I followed installation guides meticulously and even did the fitting indoors in 20C dry temperatures.

Obviously being Easter I cannot contact the vendors who are local to me in Taunton.

So just wondering what your experiences are in the mean time?"

I have a set of these...red....Haven't put them on yet. After reading some of the info, I decided I wanted to wait til it warms up and then let them cure for the 72 hours before driving. Since I'm in the PNW, I'm still waiting for the warm....was in CA when we had 80 degrees recently and it was raining on us in CA.....and it's been raining ever since..... Hopefully, they won't fly off and hurt anything after I put them on......
