Hi all
I am currently using Ecsta SPT KU31 for 40000 km and it is pretty much dead. Good grip in the dry but it is noisy and sucks in the rain.
I live in Vancouver BC where it rains 50% of the time. I'm looking for something with decent grip in dry, good in the rain and low noise.
Anyone got a good recommendation?
My tires size are 215 / 35 / 18.
Thanks!

I live in Victoria, and I run 205/50/16 Yokohama S.Drives. Not sure if they're available in the size you need, but they're a great summer tire. Good dry traction, crisp turn in, and DEEP sipes make them awesome in rain. The first time I went for spirited run in the wet, I commented to my co-pilot "I can't even tell there's water on the road."
As you know, we get a lot of rainfall over here as well, and I'm very happy with them.
Alex @ TireRack dot Com can help you out too, he was great in helping me select tires.

Got the same as dannyhavoc brand and size and I'm sold on them.
Seem to be wearing exceptionally well also.
Ditto on the dry and wet conditions.

Your Ecsta SPT is a Ultra High Perf Summer tire yet weather in your area does get rather cool for a summer tire. Do you have winter tires to use?Originally Posted by Ch28Kid

If not then I would suggest using an All Season tire that can handle the wet and the cold temperatures under 38 degrees.
You could consider
Continental ExtremeContact DWS, $135 each 540 treadwear

Or Pirelli PZero Nero All Season $135 each 400 treadwear

Good in wet and quiet on road

You really should have dedicated winter or all-season tires for winter use in Vancouver. Performance tires get very loose around 5 Degrees Celcius and below even if it doesn't snow.
I went with Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 due to the good wet reviews among other reasons... but that is for summer use only.

I agree that OP (and everyone.) should have a set of winters. I do. However Yokohama claims that the S.Drives are "unaffected by freezing temperatures," and I did drive them in temperatures as cold as 1C with no significant loss of traction. Of course as soon as there is any ice or snow on the road they are useless, but they are fine in the cold.

I usually get tires online. you might wanna try using BF Goodrich car tires I'd say it could go well in rainy conditions. I bought it last year and still works for me
