IMpact of a rim with 57.1mm center bore vs 56.1

Ordered new wheels for my r53 that have a 57.1mm center bore but stock is 56.1mm. How big of an issue is this? Anyone running 57.1mm centerbore rims without any vibrations or problems?

Thanks

ive heard somewhere that if you tighten the lugs while the cars in the air, keeping the car in gear or having someone hold the brake, its okay and the wheel will striaghten itself out. if you do experience some vibration though id deffinitly pick up a set of hubcentric rings with those measurements.

i had to buy hubcentric rings for my rpf1's to get them on my mini. the issue wasnt vibration though, they actually were fine driving wise but the inside barrel of the rpf1's is really close, i mean extremely close to the brake caliper. it actually was rubbing in some spots so to get rid of that i bought hubcentric rings and they dont rub at all. the rings deffinitly will striaghten your wheel out. they sell plastic and metal ones. i bought the plastic ones even though people dont like them??? ive had no problems with them and they were five bucks for all four!

i was just looking for some hubcentric rings for you but i couldnt find anything 56.1 to 57.1

honestly though i think youll be fine, like i said just tighten the lugs when the cars in the air and let the lugnuts line up the wheel.

Yeah was thinking a 0.5mm ring would be quite fragile. Looks like it will be a trial and error kind of thing to test it out.

Just get hubcentric rings...
Metal is preferable to plastic....
Trying to center without will give you odd ossilations and vibrations at speed ....hita bump...and it will not stay perfectly centered...
Been there, done that....

Not in this size. The ring would be so thin that it's like cutting a cross section of a tin can.

Without a ring, the wheel could become off-center by a maximum of 0.5 mm. Intuitively, it seems like it should be okay, considering normal manufacturing tolerances and amount of movement in the axle bearings. As you mount the wheel, it will probably even feel like it fits correctly.

FWIW, minihune (moderator of the wheels/tires forum) thinks 57.1 bore is okay: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...on-2008-a.html
