Street Brake Pad Poll (R53/R50/R52)

What are your favourite street pads for the Gen 1 MINI and why?

... and why can't I seem to find the options for creating a poll???

I read this but it doesn't seem to help:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...#faq_vb3_polls

Choices would be

OEM pads
Hawk HPS
Porterfield RS-4
Carbotech Bobcat CT1521
EBC Green
Axxis ULT
Akebono Euro Ultra
Coolcarbon
Ferodo DS Performance
Other

If some of you chime in with some "others", then I can include them
in a poll, if I can ever figure out how to create one.

I have Hawk HPS's on my 2006 R50 and i love them. I due a fair bit of autocrossing and put a lot of street miles on the car and they have great wear and brake feel.

We have a gen2 08 MCS and I replaced the OE pads with Hawk HPS. I don't autocross, but I track it as much as my wife lets me. I originally picked Hawk because of name and reviews, but now that I've had the Hawks on both my wife's MCS and my Challenger, I will probably never change until I foot the bill for the Willwood brake system. In the MCS, he will stop on a dime (OE it was just off the dime), the Challenger, I measured out and I stop about 30 feet better on average from 100mph.

Akebono, and no more wheel dust. We don't track our cars so i have no idea how they do as competition parts, but for daily drivers, they have been great on both our daughters's R50 and our R56.

Bump.
... as my front pads will need to be changed soon, and the rears soon after.
I'm thinking mainly of the Coolcarbon S/T pads first, vs. remaining with Hawk HPS second.
I can live with the soft initial bite of the HPS, but wondering if the CCs are better overall.
Anyone here tried the CC's? What about cold performance and initial bite?
Any other comments on these or others for a good performing aggressive daily driver, no track, less dust than OEM pads?

I like my stoptech street performance pads. I've always hated hawk hps for other cars, but I've never tried them for mini.

Hawk HPS on Brembo rotors all around for Artoo. No dust and great cold and hot stopping power.

I've had the best luck and most customers happy with the EBC Redstuff pads.

Got a set of CoolCarbons as well as the version 2 Tyrolsport bushings to replace the rubber oem ones.
So far have just done the fronts. The pads contact further toward the axle part of the rotor surface
than the oem or HPS by about 1 mm, so it took a little time to wear in for a flush fit of pad on rotor.
Now that they're settled and bedded in, I can make some comments.
Cold performance and initial bite are both a bit better than the HPS that just came off without being grabby at all.
The HPS were pretty soft untill a bit of pressure was applied then ramp up and the CoolCarbons are
more linear with very good modulation. I like the feel of them a lot. They're a little noisier than the
HPS that I just took off, but not by much. No squealing, just the normal grinding sound and feel of
brakes on rotors. Maybe that'll change as they wear in more.
I haven't really tested them at the limits much - with winter tires on, that just tests the ABS system anyway.
I recommend them - got a good deal at AutoIndividual - only $157.50 per set plus about $15 shipping and prompt delivery.

Quick update: 16 degrees F today, and I can say that the cold performance of the
CoolCarbons is great starting with even the very first push on the brake pedal.
