Brake Recommendations

Hi everyone,

I was hoping you all could help me in choosing my mini's next set of brakes. It's a daily commuter car that experiences a high level of start/stop driving. It's never been taken to the track, and I don't intend on ever using it for that purpose.

So, I'm really just looking for brakes that will perform at a decent level and will last me as long as possible. Any ideas?

Lots of discussion on this all over this site but one listed EBS redstuff pads as being excellent. That's what I have on my 07. I went ahead a paired them with some Zimmerman cross drilled rotors as well but you don't have to do that. You can go with just the pads.

People say good things about Mintex Red box for daily driver, commuter type MINI use. I don't have them on my MINI (yet), but have used them on two other vehicles. They seem to perform as well as OEM, and don't really dust, which is a HUGE upside for me. Plus they super cheap. They will be my choice for the upcoming job on my car.
