Conti DWS not avail for 16 rims?

I went to tr to price conti DWS for my 2008 MCS and the website said it's not available for 16" rims? I was bummed given the good reviews. I'm looking for the best all season tire with good wear, low noise, comfortable ride. I commute 45 min each way to work daily. Ideas?

You'll have to bump up your size to at least 205/55/16.

Tirerack.com currently shows them for $106.00 each.

There are six different sizes for 16" wheels. 205/50-16 is perfect for the MINI and is in stock:

Thanks - I wasn't sure if the 205s would fit or not. No rubbing issues?

I run 205's as do many others. No clearance problems.

205 is the stock width for 17" so on a 16" rim no issues.

Tristan runs 205/50-16 DWSs with no problem.

When I saw this thread I was worried another of my tire choices had been discontinued, but tire rack still has them.

Thanks - you've been really helpful. Right now I'm deciding between the Hancook Ventus V4 H105s recommended by the local tire shop (195/55-16) and the Conti Extremecontact DWS 205/50-16 recommended by many here. I don't know if the local tire shop would install the DWS or not, since their 'book' (or computer?) says its not the right size.

You can look on tirerack.com for installers near you.

My stock tires are 195 55R16. Does anyone know if I can I use 205 45R17's? The tires I want don't come in 55 and the wheels I want require 45. Thanks!

Yes.
Stock tires/wheels are interchangeable.
205/45-17
195/55-16

The 15" gets tougher, as it won't fit some brakes.
