Brake Pads - Best Ones?
Absolutely idiotic claim by the manufacturer (EBC) that their pads alone will reduce braking distances by 30% or 50 feet from 100mph.
Completely unsubstantiated, since they don't publish the purported test results, just a link to some other company's web site.
Oh, and if you install them and they suck - it's your fault. EBC claims you need to "bed them in" for 1,500+ miles before they start working properly: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-question.html

*pathetic*
If there was ever a better reason not to buy the EBC crap then the manufacturer lying through the teeth, I don't know what it would be.
a
P.S.: I'm yet to see a single autoX or DE car show up to the event and brag about EBC pads. Hawk - yes. Carbontech - yes. Cool ******* - yes. Performance Friction - yes. EBC - never.
See what?
There is no information on Redstuff testing (searching comes up empty).
The fact that EBC people make unsubstantiated and absurd claims (that their brake pads will reduce stopping distance by ~50 feet) and post a link some company's web site w/out linking the test results means just that ... a pile of BS.

I like the street manners of the stock pads, but they shed a lot of black sticky dust.
I had Hawk HPS next. Much less and lighter colored dust that's easier to clean off,
and better than stock when pushed hard, but initial bite is a little lacking.
I now have CoolCarbon pads. More dust, but not as bad as stock, and good initial bite
as well as very good performance when pushed hard. They are my favourites to date.

Didn't mean to jump on you. Sorry.
I do take exception to the EBC's silly claims, though.

So...you're mad because of their claims? Good for you I guess, but for people who have them such as myself and a few of my buds, we have no issue. Try it before you give an opinion on something you don't have. That's like me hating on a product I've never tried haha. In this case I hate Alta products and will never use them since bad experience with them.
As for brake pads, my Green Stuff is pretty good compared to my OEM ones I had, those sucked. For the track I will use Hawk pads(many club members in MI use them for the track).

My favorite street pads are still the Axxis Ultimates.

Much better bite and dust than the Hawk street pads. Better feel and longer lasting than EBCs. The StopTechs suck - bad pedal feel and left deposits on my Centric rotors that now make the brakes feel like warped rotors.

Best depends on what you want out of your pad.
I like the better modulation and brake feel with Carbotechs. Their Bobcats CT1521 do not give you the sudden bite but likes the Limo stopping technique which I like to use as prep for track braking.
