Mini Sport tires.....

I have an 11 Clubman s on order with infinite streams (only available with sport tires)

I have purchased a set of black R108 multi spoke rims from my dealer the other day and forgot to ask how bad the sport tires do in the snow, sleet and rain

My MA briefly touched on this when i was ordering my car but my eyes were glazed over with excitement....

How bad are the sport tires in snow and sleet? are we talking impossible to drive traction or watch your a$$ and dont be an idiot tires...

Trying to decide if I want to have my sport tires switched to my black 108's for summer driving and keep the infinate streams and put a set of all seasons on them (I had intentions of selling them)

TIA....sorry if this is a repost, cant find anything under the search

Put a set of snow tires on them. Especially in NJ, you don't want to drive summer performance tires in the winter.

You are asking to wreck you brand new Clubman S if you do not change those tires before driving it in the snow. Get a set of performance snow tires. All seasons are really not the answer in moderate to deep snow.

South Jersey is primary ice and not as much snow from what I know living in New York. All season tires would be my choice. In upstate New York these get us through the conditions very well.....ice as well as snow. Additionally, you can run them year round without changeouts and trips to the garage. Caution is your best bet as is what conditions you are accustomed to driving in and what gives you the most confidence. Watch out for the other guy too. Good luck.

GO with snow tires, tirerack has good choices on them. I ordered a set this past friday and they are are the shop right now, i'm putting them on tomorrow afternoon. I currently have summer performance tires and they are as hard as a rock in the mornings with 30 degree weather.
I can't wait till they are on, i can feel sliding taking turns on these right now due to cold roads.
Good luck and make a good decision on your tires and get them fast.

I went for snow tires. They are boring now that the weather has been nice and warm (10C!) but I'll appreciate them when it gets icy, I'm sure. I plan ordering some dedicated summer tires soon. Maybe I can get a good deal in the winter

Same question a little farther South

I have the same sort of question but I live in Atlanta. How will the summer performance tires handle a little sleet or 1" of snow? Down here we may have about a handful of days with the slippery stuff per season. I spent 37 years living in WI so I'm well versed at driving through anything, but if the summer tires are a no-go, then I'll get some all seasons. Thank you and sorry for the hijack.
