Any tips for installing stainless brake lines?
Any tips for installing stainless brake lines?
Hey guys,
Heading to the track tomorrow and I am really tempted to install a set of stainless lines while I flush the brake fluid tonight...
However I am concerned a problem will come up which will delay me from the track
Does anyone have any tips for installing them, or can anyone tell me if they have come into any problems with them stripping?
I have a 10mm/11mm flair wrench and some Liquid Wrench ready to go!

you shouldnt have any issues.. righty-tighty, lefty-loosey.. and remember not to over tighten (i know it's tempting). When you disconnect youll have to do a quick swap and\or plug the line. And also make sure you pump your brakes before driving off!
element is right. As long as they are already made, all you have to do is snug them up, check your fluid levels, and make sure you have no leaks. You may even notice a little firmer feel as the steel lines don't expand as much as the rubber ones. Good luck.
By the by, you will have air so you will have to bleed them. Again Good Luck.
