15 mm spacers

I'm thinking of adding some 15mm spacers to push out my wheels. The wheels are Hamann HM4's. So the final offset will be et28 on a 8" wide wheel. Any idea if this would work. Car is stock ride height but will be lowered on h&r springs nothing too drastic. Tires are 215/45 . Will this fit? Car is 08S

Well, I can't answer your question directly, but I can offer this:

I have an 06 cabriolet with JCW everything. I was running the stock 18 inch size of 205/40-18 (on JCW black wheels whatever offset those are). I was also running H&R 15 mm spacers. No problems with rubbing. I then decided to switch to runflats and upsized to a 215/40-18. Now I got rubbing so I removed the spacers front and rear.

What diameter wheels? If 17 or 18" you will get rubbing with H&R springs.

I am not possitive about your 08 MCS but on my 03 MCS; I had 38 offset with 7x17 wheels, 215/40 tires, and H&R springs and I had slight rubbing in the rear. Your are planning a wider wheel and more offset so I would guess rubbing for sure even with 214/40x17 tire.

I have 16mm spacers on my '07 MCS with factory 7 X 17 wheels (ET 42) and 215/45/17 tires. I do not have any problems with tire clearance but I rarely have more than 1 passenger in the car with me. The tires may rub with more people in the car but I can't say for sure. Hopefully this information will be of some help. By the way, I really like the looks with the wheels spaced out, the wheel wells look like they are more filled up.

Pernor56: No, car has stock MCS "sport" suspension. I decided to wait to see how much the original springs settled. I've got about 35K miles on it now and over 3 years of sitting on it's springs, I measured from the ground to the wheel arch (through wheel center) and compared this measurement with a new MCS at the dealer. It appears that the front settled about 3/4 inch and the rear settled about 1 inch. This greatly reduced the air above the tires and looks OK. Not working right now so also good on the budget.
