The problem with mini's and adapters is that we don't have enough room under the fender to run decent tires on wide wheels. Adapters are at least 25mm wide. What are the specs on your wheels?

Adapters can go as small as 18mm nowadays, but you're still correct. The issue is finding decent offsets to accept the adapter width. Many RH wheels are multi-fit meaning they are MEANT to be run with adapters so their offsets are super high to accommodate their fitment.

Other than that, no issues with adapters as long as you buy quality ones and install them correctly.

Yes, that's perfect. As I mentioned earlier, many RH wheels have really high offsets so they can easily be used with adapters. It sounds like this is the case with the wheels you're looking at.

You'll want 20mm-30mm adapters depending on how you want the wheels to fit and whether you want to go with a little poke,as is common among the VW crowd.

Now the issue comes down to 5x112 adapters. They are only available for the first gen cars. The 5x112 adapters have a special offset slug which doesn't match the thread pitch of the second gen cars. Do you have a first gen MINI?

Yes, I do!!!! Do you think those wheels will look good with with stock suspension or should I lower it? I don't really want that to be honest becuse I do not want my car to be stiff...

Can you recommend any places where I could get adapters from?

Thank you sooooo much for your help!

Check out Adaptec Speedware (www.adaptecspeedware.com) . Tell them Rally sent you and that you need parts for a MINI. They make them completely custom so they are hubcentric and exactly the size/width that you need. They're good guys over there and one of the few that offer 4x100->5x112

It's obviously just personal opinion, but I think aggressive wheels such as 8's with low offsets look bad on non-lowered cars. The wheel gap just looks goofy when you run such an aggressive wheel setup. I say lower it....but it's YOUR car, so do what you want with it

My recommendation is to find wheels that fit the stock pattern. Why created problems for yourself?

What problems would be created? Adapters aren't that expensive and are trouble free.

The 4x100 wheel selection isn't the greatest...especially if you're not into the whole honda tuner style wheel that makes up most of the 4x100 market. Nothing wrong with adapting to another bolt pattern to access a whole new selection of nice wheels
