Dumping the Runflats -- Final Answer?

So, I have had it with the teeth chattering and I would dearly like a little less noise on the freeway runs. I like to do some lively driving with the PDX Mini folks and even get out to a track day or two in the Summer. It's Portland, even Summer can mean "in the wet." Looking at all the choices I was settled on the Bridgestone Grid G019's but the new Yokohama Avid Envigor's have now caught my eye. I am moving to a 205/50/16, so choice is somewhat narrow. I am tempted to be an early adopter of the Yoko's. Thoughts??

Perfect size for oem 16" wheels.
Don't know about the Yokos, but if your gonna do auto-x try something that has good wet and dry grip. Too bad the GS-D3s are discontinued.

Dunlop Z1 star specs in your size would do the wet and dry very well and tons of fun for Auto X and track. Tread wear is shorter, but I feel these will do better in HPDE than G019's.

Envigor looks great! We have yet to be able to test it.

just picked up some yoko s.drive's yesterday..
first impressions are a much nicer and smoother ride.. very hard sidewalls so they still handle the same as the RFTs, but feel a little smoother..
but - it's just day one.

I've put quite a few street, track, and Dragon miles on my S.Drives. I like the a lot. OP, if you go to 215 series tires you'll have many more choices.

Went for it...

I just drove home with the Yokohama Avid Envigors. First thought? OMG... I had no idea just how punishing the ride on those runflats really was. I'll be good for a bit to scuff them in and then report how they behave on the freeway and the twisties.....

Consider Micheliin PS2's or PE2's. Very highly rated. I own the PE2's and love them.
