215/40/17 vs 205/45/17 ???

Does anyone have a preference what tire they put on the 17 inch stock MINI wheel? I like the 215/40/17 look a bit better but every place i go wants to put 205/45/17 on my car, is there a problem with running the 215/40/17?

No problem at all, most of the tire folks want to sell you the OEM tire size.

If you like the look and don't have to deal with a lot of potholes and bad roads, the 215/40 will work fine.

I prefer the 215/45/17 myself, but that is on my 07 R56, we have some nasty roads.

I have a R56, but I run a 215/40/17 with no problems, not like it's going to rub or anything.
