2010 MCS TPMS
2010 MCS TPMS
I have been visiting the Tirerack's website looking at different wheels & tires to replace my 16" OEM wheels & RFs with a 17" combo. I am a bit confused that a set of TPMS costs nearly $500. The TPMS for '09s cost about half or less. Has there been that a substantial a change in '10 to warrant such a cost spread? PS. I am planning on keeping the OEM's for long "back country" trips.
Mine is a 2010 base hardtop, i replaced wheels and tires recently. The TPMS devices are now off the car. The triangle caution signs stays on and that kinda bugs me.
What i plan on doing is taking the TPMS off my OEM wheels and have them installed on the news wheels, i think the OEM TPMS can be installed on these new wheels. I wouldn't pay 500 bucks for the new TPMS though.

I'm purchasing some new wheels and tires from tire rack tomorrow and i got quoted 40$ a piece for the tpms for my 2009. I suggest giving tire rack a call and ask them in person.
9/2009 - date $452 + shipping
BMW made this change to Mini and 3 series mid year!
