Good morning folks from eastern Canada folks

I am looking at upgrading the whhels on my R53 2002 Cooper S and would like some input from the community.

My biggest problem so far is what colour to go with. The only thing I know is that I don't want to go with chrome.

Opus is dark silver with a white top, white stripes and checkered mirrors.



What colour would you go with and why? Black, graphite, white or silver finish?

I may also be going with a checkered vinyl roof. This would give Opus more black.

I was originally thinking black, but I'm not so sure anymore.

Black wheels would be nice. Low-maintenance and easier to control a brake dust, but white wheels would really stand out. I personally like white wheels, but they're a lot harder to keep clean from the brake dust.

 

Chrome -NO!

I would think either color would look great on your car. If i had to choose, which I have. I would go with the black.

Black would be a good choice. But you then must choose between flat or gloss. I also like graphite. Especially on a silver car. I think I'd go with the graphite. Maybe with machined rims.

 

I would try a custom finish:

black powder coat with white lip (or edge)... the white accent will bring out the stripes and literally match the checkered roof...
