Getting rid of run-flats. Need comments on Michelin.

My 2006 MCSC came with Dunlop 205/45R17 run-flats. I will replace them with non run-flats soon. My son recommends I switch to Michelin Pilot Exaulto's. Would appreciate any comments good or bad on this Michelin tire.

I have 205/45/17 Exaltos, about 1k miles on them now. I like 'em. HUGE improvement over runflats, but then again, any non-runflat is a big step forward. Can't go wrong going with Michelin.. go for it!

I have Pilot Exalto PE2s on Shawn in 16", they'd be my preferred tires if Michelin would still make them. Very grippy, very quiet, very smooth. (Treadlife not so great.)

I have the Pilot Exalto PE2 205/45-16 and like them.

KevinC,
It seems that they are still made in 205/55-16. I'm running Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S in that size on 16x7 Rota Slipstreams. No rubbing, and the speedo is more accurate, but the car is 0.3" higher than on the 205/45-17, and would be 0.4" higher than your car is now.
